Inventory on its own, or one that belongs to the whole business?
Classic inventory systems are strong in the warehouse. aYOUne brings stock, the scanner, the till, accounting, the customer record and the shop into one product, with its own devices from a single source.
In short: classic inventory systems like JTL-Wawi, weclapp, Sage or Lexware manage your items, your stock and your orders reliably, each with its own strengths. JTL is strong in online retail and on marketplaces, weclapp is a cloud system for mid-sized companies, and Sage and Lexware have been established in the German market for years. What they share: inventory is their core, and around it sit further programmes for the till, accounting and customer care. aYOUne covers the same inventory management, but as one area of the same product. The goods-in you book with the scanner app is instantly visible in stock, in purchasing and in accounting.
What classic inventory management is, and what aYOUne is
An inventory system is built for items, stock levels and orders. JTL-Wawi shines for online retailers with many marketplaces, weclapp covers mid-sized companies broadly as a cloud system, and Sage and Lexware are long proven with German businesses. Whatever sits outside stock and orders, the till in the shop, full bookkeeping, customer care, the newsletter, you add with further programmes and interfaces.
aYOUne reproduces the same inventory management: items and variants, several warehouses, goods-in and picking by scanner app, stocktakes. But it does not stop there. A stock movement becomes a posting in the same system, a sale at the till removes the item, and the product data you maintain once feeds the online shop and the marketplaces at the same time. Add to that its own line of devices with a scanner, a till terminal and a display. 28 business areas in one product instead of an inventory system plus several neighbouring programmes.

What the difference means day to day
With a classic inventory system you manage your warehouse well, but the neighbouring areas run alongside it. The till is one programme, accounting a second, customer care a third. Every order, every sale has to move from one system to the next, by export, by interface, by an evening reconciliation. It works, but it costs upkeep, and it is the place where stock and figures drift apart.
With aYOUne the goods stay in the same system. The employee scans goods-in, stock updates instantly, a sale at the till or in the shop removes it again, and the posting is in accounting. Nobody maintains the same item in four places. To be fair: anyone deep in a specialist field, say pure online retail with dozens of marketplaces and elaborate shipping rules, will find a maturity in a system built for that, such as JTL-Wawi, that a young, broad product is still building.
What the inventory systems cost
The prices come from the vendors' public listings, as of July 2026.
- JTL-Wawi: in four editions since April 2026. The Start edition is free at 0 € per month (base inventory, a shop with up to 500 items, marketplace connection); the Pro edition, per the vendor, is around 329 € on an annual plan or 369 € on a monthly plan.
- weclapp: a cloud system with an inventory module, roughly 39 € to 139 € per user per month depending on the package.
- Sage 100 / Lexware: established in the German mid-market, either as a one-off licence with maintenance or as a cloud subscription; the exact figure depends heavily on modules and users. Market overviews put an inventory entry point at around 50 to 75 € per month on average.

aYOUne charges per module and per user. You pay for the areas you switch on, and you get the concrete figure tailored in a conversation. Our reasoning is on the pricing page.
When a classic inventory system is the better choice
If your focus is entirely on warehousing and trade, say pure online retail with many marketplaces and complex shipping and returns rules, if you need the maximum depth of a specialised system, and the till, accounting and customer care are already solved well for you, then an established inventory system is a proven choice.
When aYOUne is the better choice
If inventory management is only one part of your business and you would rather stop maintaining the till, accounting, the customer record and the shop separately, if scanners and till devices are part of it, or if you want to pass the software on under your own brand, then aYOUne is built for that, a pure inventory system is not.
Yes, with the difference that the warehouse is part of a bigger whole. You manage items, variants and several warehouses, book goods-in and picking by scanner app and run stocktakes. Every movement lands directly in purchasing, accounting and, on a sale, in the till.
In most cases yes. Item, stock and customer data can be carried over. Because aYOUne covers more than inventory, we clarify in a conversation which areas you move first and what runs in parallel for a while.
Yes. A product is maintained once and can be sold across nine marketplaces, including Amazon, eBay, Otto and Kaufland. Stock levels there run together with those in the shop and in your own webshop.
A direct price comparison is misleading, because an inventory system only bills the warehouse and aYOUne bills several areas. With us you pay per module and per user. If you currently pay separately for inventory, a till, accounting and a shop system, it is worth looking at the total rather than a single price.
