In short: monday.com is a wonderful tool for organising team work: tasks, projects, workflows, all colourful and flexible on boards. aYOUne can do that too, but it's built for something else: running the business. Accounting, inventory, production, the till, payroll. The question isn't who has the nicer boards, but whether you want a tool for team work or a system that carries your business.

What monday.com is and what aYOUne is

monday.com is a system for making work visible: who does what by when, which task depends on which, where things are stuck. It does that superbly, looks good and is quick to set up. Many teams love it for exactly that, and rightly so.

If your team mainly needs to coordinate projects, tasks and workflows, and your finances, warehouse and sales run elsewhere anyway, then monday.com is an excellent choice: pleasant to use, quick to get going, flexible. That's not a weakness, it's its purpose.

The difference becomes tangible the moment coordinated work turns into real transactions: an order that needs to go into the warehouse, an invoice that needs booking, a sale that lands at the till, a payroll run at month's end. monday.com doesn't hold that: it shows you a "write invoice" task is done, but the invoice itself is created elsewhere. In aYOUne it's created in the same system, from the same data.

Fair enough: in sheer ease of use, in the pleasure of flexible boards, and in the speed a team gets going, monday.com is strong. If that's your most important criterion, you should take a look at it.

Pricing: what to watch for

monday.com charges per seat. The Basic tier is $9, Standard $12, Pro $19 per seat per month (annual). Note: there's a minimum of three seats, and after that it goes up in fives: three, five, ten and so on. The Enterprise tier is negotiated and usually starts at around 50 seats. For a team-organisation tool that's cheap. For a complete business, though, you'd have to compare it with the cost of all the systems running alongside it: accounting, inventory, the till. aYOUne bundles those into one price that grows per module and user. Our logic is on the pricing page.

Who monday.com is the better choice for

If you mainly want to organise projects, tasks and workflows for the team, if very pleasant usability and flexible boards matter to you, and your finances, warehouse and sales are well handled elsewhere, then monday.com is an excellent choice.

Who aYOUne is the better choice for

If coordinated work turns into real transactions (invoices, warehouse movements, receipts, payroll) and you don't want to spread that across several systems, if devices in the shop are part of it, or you want to pass the software on under your own brand: then aYOUne is built for that.
